Post subject:  Anyone know how the center console attaches?

Dealer had to replace my tranny shifter yesterday. To do that, they removed the entire center console assembly. Well, they didn't put it back in nice and snug, so now there is a gap between the console and the carpet. I tried pushing down on the console figuring it might snap into place but it didn't. Do these consoles mount with push-in pins, or are there screws in there?? I know it's nitpicky...but I want my console to fit into place exactly like it was when I bought it.

There are screws in the bottom of the armrest compartment, and under the shifter boot (manual) or the platic bezel around the auto shifter, and under the 4WD shifter boot + in the bottom of the cup holders. Once you take all of those out, just pull up from rear first and if you have power windows pop out switch housing's and undo wireing.[img][/img]Image

Well I found the problem. Dealer actually snapped the mount that's under the t-case shifter. That's why my console is all jacked up now. So...looks like now I'm headed back to the dealer for an entire console.

Thanks for the help. I didn't realize you could just pop the shifter cover out like that.
