Well I thought I could make it through the winter with only having warm/hot air on 1 and 2 but I just can't. These below 20 temps are killing me. The door for the heater/ac won't stay on hot when its on 3 or 4. I have to constantly play with the hot/cold knob to get it to go hot but sometime it just won't stick no matter how hard I try. I know I'm going to have to remove the whole dash to fix it. The a/c work amazing well, just not the heat. Its not the blower resistor, I know that. I already talked about it with the guy who installed my engine ad he said it was the door thigy. My dad even told me I had to fiddle with it to get it to be hot. But now it just does NOT want to stick. Anyone have to replace this? I need to know how to do it and I have no clue what to do. |

i believe that door is controlled by an electric motor (instead of vacuum like older cars)... which is probably failing and needs replaced. i'm in the process of trying to figure out my heating problem. |

I just don't like making my passengers, and more importantly my woman, freezing while trying to have a good time. I also like to hop in my jeep to escape from the cold. |

Maybe check for continuity across the plug to the blend door motor to make sure power is getting to it, and if it is, maybe the motor is jammed or completely kaput, maybe a bench test of the motor? There might be a clog in the area where the blend door fits, preventing it from seating properly so it pops back under blower pressure in the other direction. |

Well from what I was told, pretty much the whole dash needs to be removed to get to it. So I will look around and find out how to get to it and diagnose the problem from there. |

I was thinking that HVAC couldn't work better. However, we need to have knowledge about it. We need to develop that kind of HVAC. |
