So I put my super 44 on in early November and a few months later it looks worse then my stock muffler did (although it doesn't leak). Has anyone else noticed that flowmaster mufflers rust REALLY REALLY fast???? I was hoping to put off a new exhaust system til 100k but it feels like I may get through most of next winter and have to replace it. Also my factory rock rails have new rust spots on them from this winter.

saw nothing more than some slight surface rust on mine, which is pretty given for a non-finished, not-stainless steel muffler

perhaps after the winter salting is done, may be beneficial to scrub it down, and paint it with some caliper paint or something like some 1500F stove pipe paint?

Or VHT also makes hi-temp paint.

I never saw any rust on my muffler except for the piping which is not Flowmaster.

They are pretty heavy duty and are not going to rust through for a long while
either paint it, take it out and drag it over some rocks to scratch it up or don't look at it :ROTFL:
