Anyone have any experience with FilterMAG? I did a search on this and didn't get much. I was thinking of purchasing the one for the engine oil filter but also noticed there's one for the tranny. Let me know what you guys think. |

I put one on a Rebuilt engine - because I assumed it could have loose particles - I never cut the filter open to see if it worked - it was just an insurance policy I don't think it would make much of difference if the engine's already broken in. |

I think they work as insurance as well. Probably not needed, but what the heck. I hope to get a lot of miles out of this vehicle. I went online and purchased some strong magnets from ebay that I stick on the filter - it was a lot cheaper than the mag that you are referring to. Although I have read that they are very good... SO, in summary, probably not needed, but will not hurt either... |

It can only help. Just look at the micro particles that are stuck to your diff mag. |
