Post subject:  Front Diff Leak?

I saw a few oil spots on the driveway this morning so I crawled under the jeep and found oil on the underside of the KJ WTF  ... So upon further inspection I found that it was infact diff oil and was coming from where the front diff meets the CV on the front passenger side.. My question to you guys is.... is there a seal there that has gone bad? and how long and how much is this going to cost to get replaced...? I have searched the forums and it seems like most people here have had thier pinion seals go but not this...

Thanks for the help in advance

Easy fix if that is what it is.
Just have to pull the spring assembly much like you would be doing a lift, spindle off, pull CV out and pop the seal out and reinstall everything

Seal is Part Number 05066066AA

Seals go bad, more so if you play in mud.

I kinda lump Jeeps into the old military saying about oil leaks in there vehicles..............

"If it ain't leaking it's out of oil"

and add old Harleys in there as well
also another reason I don't like to play in mud anymore, too long to clean up and too many places it sneaks into and causes problems down the road!
