So there is a really bad knock in my front suspension and I think/ assume its my upper ball joint as we all know they go bad all the time. Here is my question. If it costs $300 to replace the upper ball joints and jeepin by al's upper a arms cost (something around $300) Is it worth it to just get the a-arms? Do these new a-arms really fix the ball joint problem? PS I have a 2.5 frankenlift2. Im not sure what to do.

You may be able to get them replaced for free.

1- if your UBJs are making a KNOCK then it's terribly unsafe to drive

Would suggest checking the UBA's via method posted in one of the stickied threads

typical after-lift noises often come from upper plate nuts that did not get loctite or torqued correctly so check those too

if you do find that youre in need of UBJ's, in my personal opinion yes the jba uca's were worth it, my vehicle drives better after the replacement than it did lifted with stock uca's and the alignment is dead on

plus the serviceable joints, something you wont get from simply replacing with OEM UCA's was worth the extra $ in part costs to me

The JBA arms will correct the ball joint angle. Plus you can replace the ball joints in 20 minutes and for under 50 bucks when the time comes again.......
