I am looking to lift my KK Jeep and I need to know what I will need (part wise). I want to install the Rock Krawler 3.5. Then I want to throw on some 305's possibly? Will that be feasible to do? I am a little experienced in lifting Jeeps I just need to know if I will have to get bigger wheels also. Would getting 305/70R16 Wrangler MT/R tires allow good enough travel on the trail? Any help and suggestions with the lift and tires would be greatly appreciated

Biggest anyone has fit so far is 285/75/16 on stock rims and spacers. Those tires are equivalant to 33 and the largest anybody has put on, he's not the only person with 33 but they are the widest. Also that was on a lift with a little over 3". I currently have the rock krawler lift, soon to be replaced by a JBA lift, and its more like 2". I have 265/70/16 on 16x8 cragar, which is almost a 31 and clearances are tight in areas.

if you get the rk lift you will need at least extended rear shocks to go with it. bump stops would be nice. the lift does have a slight issue. when going over large bumps too fast there is a twanging sound of the coil hitting the upper control arm. it has happened on mine and at least one other guy, cant say about everybody with this lift though. if you bought this lift and have this issue you could buy JBA a-arms to remedy the problem.

So I'll need extended rear shocks or bumb stops. And 285/75/16 would work just fine and give me plenty of travel in the wheel well

i dont see 285/75/16 working with with the rk lift. the rk lift is not high enough and the guy with that size tire had extensive modification to the front wheel wells and made a custom front bumper. without cutting the pinch weld and part of your front bumper off, do not count on it happening. you MIGHT fit 265/75/16 but that will pry take alot of work and cutting.

if you want big tires get a real lift  you could get away with 265/70 or 245/75 with little to no work with the rk lift though

What would you suggest in the terms of a real lift without having to pay an arm, a leg and a firstborn?

unfortunately there arent many options right now for the kk. from what ive "heard or read" some of the front parts could be used from a kj but i cant guarantee how they will work out. give it some time and diggerfreek should chime in with some good info i think.

So you think for the time being I should just go with the 3.5 and go with the 265/70? DO you have anymore pics of your KK?

Do you know of anywhere to get a good light rack? I've looked in the tech section but there seems to be a lack of Light bars.

STT is the only one making a light bar for the KK with out mounting a basket to the roof.

it seems like that STT link in the tech section it a link internal to the site. It does not take you outside to view the STT light bar
