Yes we do have censorship on this site for very good reasons. if you dont understand why then maybe this is not the site for you. There are thousands of site where you can say anything you want so you have a lot to choose from. Thanks. later...Clint

Very well put. If you do not like the censorship then find another site. I have had one post that I wish would have been censored. I think the folks that put their time into this Club and site have the right to make and adjust the rules as they see fit. If you do not like the rules, then start your own site. No one makes you come to this site. Just me .02. Can't we all just get along?

I don't see a problem with censorship. I'm guessing you're referring to the "new forum" thread. Knew it was trouble as soon as I saw it.

If the recruiter had spent some effort to understand this site, he would have known why his effort was doomed from the beginning. There's very little any other "all-Jeep" site would offer to the members of this site. They are way too broad.

People who have never been a moderator on a board simply have no idea.
While the idea of free speech is one of the building blocks of this nation, that pertains to public speaking.

When you enter a forum, it's privately owned, like your house or your business.
Those are the place where the we, the owners, do have the right and sometimes the responsibility to censor any subjects which we deem unprintable.
You wouldn't like it if someone came into your home and started spouting things you didn't like.

So, if you've never been a moderator, and you're being censored, simply ask why before you go off the deep end.

Forums are for communication..so...communicate.

Well said, it is like going to somebody's house and whining that you can't walk around wearing your dirty boots and you want to put your feet up on the coffee table while cursing...

Have some respect for the owner and the other guests visiting...

BTW, I like Jeep Kjs...

One guy said this: "Well said, it is like going to somebody's house and whining that you can't walk around wearing your dirty boots and you want to put your feet up on the coffee table while cursing..." YOU MUST KNOW MY UNCLE

Folks can put dirty boots on the coffee table anytime if they helped pay my bills or bought my coffee table.

I'm not for the extreme sexual, gender, or racial overtones or the real dirty words myself.

KevH is right: "So, if you've never been a moderator, and you're being censored, simply ask why before you go off the deep end."

I'm sure one could check their PM's too

Awesome 4x2

I'm a moderator on a Triumph site I basically live on. It is a REAL tough thing sometimes. We often nuke posts that aren't really offending but we KNOW will stirr up some attitudes... We also usually PM the person to let them know why, but still. It's tough! You can please everyone some of the time, some people all of the time, but not both!
