So, my jeep has the lil clevis lift on it and i just recently had a shop TRY to replace my cv, reason why i say try is because they ordered the wrong part... and i'm never going there again been there 4 times and been burned by them 5... the other day though they tried to charge me for the maintence on my jeep for taking it apart, but never replaced the part... and they were going to double charge me when i got the cv replaced... well, long story short i didn't pay them doo doo and they put my jeep back together and i decided i would, once again change the part myself... but when they put the clevis back on they slid it alll the way to flush with the strut tower... my question is... can i just loosen the clevis bolt and pry it back up and tighten, or do i need to drop the sway bar and other miscellaneous items... last time i did this the whole swaybar/ cv/ strut tower assembly was already taken apart so i just put it back together with a space in it... so can it be done or do i have to wait till i get my cv in..???

When I first did a clevis lift on my '05 Renny I found that I had to loosen the sway bar, didn't have to take it off, but it wouldn't budge until I loosened it up some. Used a large pry bar between the bottom of the strut and top of the brake disc, then gently lifted the strut 5/8" and tightened the bolt.....(I put a piece of neopreme rubber between the bar and brake disc for protection)
Now that I have the 2.5" Daystar lift on I have it seated all the way down, figuring I'll do the clevis lift when my springs start to sag.....

I got an OME lift with a clevis lift. Used 3 conduit nuts.
Doing a clevis lift with a daystar isn't going to make them sag anymore. Just give you more lift thus looking cooler.

I believe you're confused to my last post Budke....
I didn't mean that a clevis lift would make my Daystar lift sag, I'm saving the clevis lift for when the stock springs start to sag, then I can use the option of said clevis lift to compensate for that future sag.....

alright thnx guys... i appreciate that... will have it done tomorrow... it sure looks goofy as hell right now with the front drivers side saggin like it is... makes me look like a real fat booty goin down the road...
