I hate having small rocks getting stuck in my AT tires. :banghead: Seems like every time I get out of the Jeep I am "grooming" the tires with my key trying to pop out rocks. I got tired of this so today I went to the Ranch/Farm store here in Belle Fouche, SD and bought me a folding hoof pick. You know, the thing that you use to dig stuff out of a horses hooves. Well that is the trick. I can carry it in my pocket and when I am bored I can go dig rocks out of my stead's(stud's) shoes.

I've got a few attachments on my SOG multi-tool that does the trick on those stubborn tire rocks.

Even those of us running the more moderate HTS style tires get those annoying stones & pebbles lodged in the treads that won't come out even at highway speeds.....and I can't stand that clicking noise they make.....

Come on out to South Dakota. I'll show you some stuff that will stick to anything. Wet clayey mud that will coat anything that it touches; shoes, hoofs, tires, Jeeps, you name it. The park service warns people not to go on those trails after a rain and now I know why. It's not like Florida mud where you can just spin it off. This stuff STICKS! If you do sling some off it loads up the next turn around. It is fun if you like driving on ice. Oh yeah, your device for cleaning the wheel wells is no match for this stuff. I had to use the pressure washer at the quarter car wash to get it out of the wheel wells and off the Jeep. It took $8 to get the dang stuff off. It dries almost like concrete.

Wish you were here to enjoy it with us. :JEEPIN:

Yup. And loving it. On a cross-country road trip to Alaska right now.
