Post subject:  Front Air Deflector
I decided today to take off the front air deflector which I had on about 2+ years. Once I took it off I noticed the top part of the grill is all scuffed and scratched up badly down to the plastic and on the corner of the hood it has about a half inch gash down to the metal. I'm very pissed!! :evil: This was a Jeep part, not some aftermarket one and it did all this damage. It was not worth putting on at all! Now I think I might have to get a cover of some sort for the hood, possibly the T-style one. Anyone have it, any pics? I wonder if it will look good. I'm just afraid the hood will start to rust.

Sounds like whomever installed it, didn't install the little rubber bumpers that are supposed to stick to the hood. I bought an aftermarket one and my hood is still like new. At any rate, don't get one of those hood covers or "bras". Over time they stretch out and start "flapping". Have you ever seen a truck bed after a plastic bedliner has been in there for several years? That's what your hood will look like. Just get the hood touched up where necessary and call it a day.
