Suddenly I'm having some family problems that need to be attended to that will require a lot of time. I'm going to need to put all new product development plans on hold indefinitely, as it currently takes up the most of my time. I am planning on finishing my rear bumper rework, but it will be the end of the summer before I've got anything to offer for sale. Anyone waiting for other new designs should probably look elsewhere for a while, I just can't get to any new stuff until I get some things sorted out.

I will continue to work on my rear bumper gradually, produce radiator skids and front shims with no interruption, and continue to build gas tank skids and roof racks when required. I just don't want anyone to wait for me to make other items, because it is going to be a while before I produce anything new.

Sorry if this is an inconvenience for anyone.

Chip

What Tahoe said Boiler, family always comes first, take care of business there, and when things are right you can get back to all the other less important stuff......

Well the good thing is we've set ourselves up well to where our existing products can be make pretty rapidly, the time killer is coming up with new stuff, so thats whats going to take a hit.

Well bugger. I wish you the best certainly, and I hope everything ends up alright, but I was hoping for one of those rear bumpers.

Lol. Good luck.

I'm still working on the rear bumper, I think it will be ready for mass offering by summers end or so. Anything that I've developed already is going to remain in production with no delays. I'm just not going to create any new parts for a while. I just wanted people that I had told otherwise to know what was up.

Still offering:
Roof Racks
Gas Tank Skids
Radiator Skids
Strut shims

Soon offering:
Rear bumpers.

We will be here when you need us as customers when the time comes, but more importantly we are here as friends right now.

Take Care,

Sorry to hear about that, but kudos for placing family before ambitions. I hope everything works out well.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I hope everything works out well. Glad to see you know to put your family first.

I look forward to the time when you can get back to development because you appear to be a genius at it. When you get back to work on the rear bumpers, put me down for one.

I got some time on the rear bumper rework tonight, I'm going to try to get an hour or two in each night for the next week or so, and then build #2.

+1 And don't worry. Your stuff is good enough, it's worth the wait!

I hope youre able to get things worked out. Id sure like to see an aluminum ARB style bumper in the future. I wish ARB had made a "Bull bar" style bumper like they do for most trucks.

Like this one on my Land Cruiser.

I was planning on hitting a front bumper design next, maybe making a prototype in the fall. I'll probably work out a design in the fall and build a prototype in the winter. It is so much easier for us to find time to work together in the winter because we don't have kids ball games, vacations, nearly as much family stuff going on in Jan/Feb.

Right now I'm thinking it will be a little like the ARB, but borrow some of the styling from my rear bumper. I'm starting to lean away from a winch bumper, or at least from one with the winch built inside. I just requires so much bumper depth and everyone I talk to with a winch tell me they never use them. I'm half tempted to just make a hitch mount for a winch so it can be brought out when needed, and either in the front or rear.

I agree one without a winch mount first. A matching front with the rear would look good and be very functional. Could make it nice and tight . I've been watching bumper designs on another site and some are coming together really good. They are for other vehicles but would adapt to the KJ pretty easy

Ya bugger I want a winch bumper. Maybe people say they never use them, but what the winch does is allow you to push limits not safe without one. Im sure your bumper will look nice.

It's tough to say. Definitely no design set in stone yet.
