All,

Last summer I had issues with the ABS in my '06 resulting in having all the speed sensors and the control module replaced by the dealership (very expensive - would not recommend). Well, the symptoms have reappeared (all the dash lights are on). Since all of the sensors are relatively new, it's got me thinking that maybe there is something else wrong. Could rotor and pad wear cause this? Something else? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

check all your lines. I have a tear one of my abs wires and it causes all the lights to come on. The wire is $14 and its apparently a known issue and pretty common.

Thanks joe.

Now that I think about the current symptoms they are not the same as last year. Last year the lights came on and any pressure at all on the brake pedal cause excessive pulsing and the Jeep would barely stop. Now the lights turn on and there is no pedal change at all. Additionally, the lights are intermitted. Occasionally they turn off and all the ABS features are restored. Any ideas?

find my last 2 posts. The lights could flicker because of contact and then off contact type issues. Mine tore where as if its a slice it might flash. Go to all 4 corners of your vehicle and look under. You will see a black wire/cable looking thing going to the back of where the rotor and everything attaches. check for flat spots or tears. that will cause it. Mine doesnt change anything...the brakes feel fine everything works..except the lights on the dash are on.

joe,

Seems that you were right. Both of the front speed sensor wires are damaged. I plan to get them ordered from the local dealer soon. Any advice on the ordering process? Removal and installation? Thanks for all the help.
