Post subject:  Air Conditioner HELP needed

I am a new Jeep owner and new to the site. Thank you all for the great info! I bought the KJ 3 weeks ago with 33K on it and I plan to do all the simple stuff myself and the harder stuff with your help and posts. I have changed the plugs, all the fluids, and have new brakes and tires. I will drive it mainly at hiway speed and will drive about 3K per month. Weekends will involve mud and snow soon.

Now for my issue. At speed (70 mph'ish) when the A/C kicks on, I can feel it. Really feel it. There is a very slight, very quick, "bump" every 10-15 seconds like clockwork. The rpm's do not move and it is not really an engine slip but it feels like it. It almost feels like a tranny slip but there is no thump. The dealer ran it at idle with the A/C on and claims it cycles just fine. Yeah, I know it cycles fine because I can feel it. Every 10-15 seconds!

I'm sure it is always there but I really feel it all the time at speed on the hiway. I have searched the past posts but can't find my issue. Any help would be great because my 3/36 runs out very soon. Thanks to all.

Just wondering, If it recycles every 15 sec is it low on freon?

Check the ac condensor.... at the top, on the battery side...
If it appears wet.... time for a new one...

I can say mine did the same thing right before the clutch coil failed. u might want to plan for a new one. And btw my freon was fully charged.
