When i go to gas up ,i can't fill it up like normal ( full flow). I can only fill it up very slow and it keeps clicking off like it is not venting. I looked to see if there is mud around filler tube / vent but is all clean. Has anyone hade this problem and what can i do to fix it .

I cant help you with your problem but I do have the over flow when fueling up issue. Might be related.

Mine does the overflow thing. If I fill it up with any kind of speed, it spit fuel out of the filler neck after the nozzle clicks off. I've leArned to live with it. I just fill it up really really slow once it gets past 3/4 full.

As far as the difficult fueling, the clicking off constantly while refueling, there is a TSB out there adressing this issue. I believe its TSB 14-001-09. It covers lots of Chrysler products, it says it covers the 05-07 KJs.

I believe there is a TSB for the overfill too. Not 100% sure but there is a diag process in place for it. I just learn to live with it and fill up slow and a certain way as I dont want to drop a fuel tank in my driveway.

I took mine back to the dealer after I bought it because of this. I have a CRD and trickling in the fuel, it can take a looong time to fill the tank from empty - ok on a balmy summer's day, bl**dy unpleasant on a cold winter's day with snow coming in horizontally! It was checked, the breathers were fine and all was clear. It seems that there is a restriction in the fuel pipe - it's a very narrow bore - something to do with emissions/vapour control. Consequently, when fuel goes in at full rate, it's ok for a few minutes (if the tank is right down) but then the fuel can't get into the tank fast enough and it backs up.

JK owners (certainly over here) have the same problem. Apparently,it's not possible to fit a larger bore fuel line, because the entry into the tank itself is "small bore". I was told (by other users) to try angling the hose at the 1 o'clock position, and this does help a bit, but it is still a very slow process, with no apparent solution.

Never had this issue. Ive had it spit back out once its full. Not done that in a long time though.

Mine spits out 100% of the time if I set it and forget it. Now I fill at a slower rate and when I get a gallon or 2 away from full I let it rest for a few seconds then I continue filling up at the reduced rate. I also pull the nozzle out half way to vent better during the whole process.
