Ive been meaning to get some silicone lubricant spray to get rid of the creaking in the sway bar bushings, but have not gotten to it yet. Im at work right now and found some http://www.hmcelectronics.com/cgi-bin/scripts/product/8480-0004/Starrett-M1Starrett%20M1.Would this damage the bushings? Am I better off waiting and buying a silicone based spray or? |

I don't see any reason that should hurt the bushings that is some pretty mild stuff.... |

i saw the title and thought this might be more interesting... for my cars i use a white litheum spray lube. never had any issues with it. works good getting rust out of e-brake cables as well. |

WD40 isn't a lubricant by design, it's a water barrier with some properties of short term lubrication wd40 will eventually dry to a film thus not really applicable as a lubricant in this manner white lith (or red lith) or any lithium or silicone lubricant is much more beneficial for use I'd almost guess that wd40 or that electrical water barrier spray, after the film has dried, will cause more noise than was originally occurring in the first place |
