I've got in-channel shades, and like them alot. Nice to be able to crack the windows when needed and not worry about rain or snow getting in.

Not really. put them in and rolled all the windows up. Made sure they were in the right place then cycled the windows a couple of times to ensure they didn't stick. Had to adjust them a little, but once I got them positioned right, no problem. closed the windows and let them sit that way for a day or two in the hot sun to ensure the adhesive stuck and they stayed in the right position.

In the beging yes there were issues on the KJ and the Jetta. Once a few warm days came around, the issue solved itself. I like the fact that the in channel ones, unless they break, will never fly off the car because the adheasive crapped out on it.

I have the stick on type on my wifes KJ and the in channel type on my WJ. The in channel type really look a lot better IMO.
Either way you go they are a great addition. I've had them on every vehicle I've owned since 1986.

I've been using the in-channel vent visors for as long as I've owned my Jeep (about 7.5 years) and I've had no issues with them. I much prefer the cleaner look they offer as opposed to the "stick-on" ones that look out of place. I used to smoke, so to me they're indespensible, and even now I can still roll down the window in the rain without getting wet. Even though I don't smoke any more, I still plan on putting them on every vehicle I own.
