Post subject:  current incentives and deals on CRD?

Hello:

My CRD is arriving in the next couple days and I am trying to better understand which incentives are currently available on that vehicle. For example, Jeep www site shows 0% financing.

Thanks in advance....

As far as I know, 0% for 60, or 2.9% for 72 are the incentives for all Jeeps.

Thanks... I have the option of $2,500 in rebates (was available at time of ordering) or 0% financing... but not both.

Full retail is $32,000... I wonder what kind of discount I can get and still have the 0% financing?

Thanks in advance...

I know in the long run 0% saves a whole bunch of money, more than the rebate over 60 months for sure!!!!

Post subject:  Just work the numbers

If you intend to pay it off well before the finance term-- get the cash back if it saves you more (just work the numbers). If you intend to make the monthly payment-- then take the 0% financing. As for other discounts- well those are always dealer specifc. Find a dealer with only one or two CRD's that have been sitting on the lot for awhile, especially if they have an 05 still on the lot-- they may want to deal to move them. You can use Jeeps website to show the inventory of each dealer, and look at the sticker. Check the delivery dates of the vehicles. Also look at used vehicle inventory as this includes dealer trades (which are new vehicles traded from one dealer to another)-- that is how I found my 06.

But also consider that if you buy from a dealer that does not move alot of CRD's, you are in for trouble when you bring it in for service. I bought my CRD at a dealer that moves many of them, Airpark in Scottsdale. They had seven on the lot and always traded with other dealers to keep them in inventory. They may not have given me the best deal I could have found, but it was good enough. I know they see CRD's and hardcore four-wheelers with mods alot, and that means I am less likely to deal with dealer B.S. when I take it back to them. From reading these posts, most dealers are ignorant about the CRD and tend to view it with distrust. A good bet might be to look for a Jeep dealer that is also a Dodge dealer and that moves alot of Dodge Cummins trucks. They will have a diesel mechanic, at least.

A good place to check and work some prices is: www.jeepwarehouse.com

Do a purchase sheet, take it to your local dealer and see if they can come close. If you buy from jeepwarehouse, they will drop ship it to a dealer near you for $250.00
