With the recent death of my engine. It is getting replaced next week...So, I am wondering that maybe I should get a few pilar gauges. Possibly the oil pressure gauge to keep an eye on an analogue one...what would be a good brand to get and what other gauge would be nice to have since they make a 2 gauge holder. Thanks Steve |

From what I understand, ScanGuage and UltraGuage won't tell you what you really need to know (i.e., tranny temp, oil pressure, etc) I'm thinking about some real guages myself, but I want three guages so I want to put mine directly above the two A/C vents on the dash. Oil pressure, tranny temp, Exhaust temp are the biggies...but a real voltage guage would also be sweet. The PITA that installation is....that's what's keeping me from doing it tomorrow. |

im thinknig the autolites are the ones i will go with. i might just have the guy install the oil pressure and volts on mine while he does the engine swap |

with my time here found it easier to go with something that has been run and tested by lib drivers rather than test out something different myself. So who has been running pillar guages? Which ones and how was the install now that I know the scanguage wont give me what I want? |

They sell some nice gauges at autozone. I'd say go with oil pressure and a trans temp gauge. My jeep already has an oil pressure and volt meter along with the usual gauges so I'm thinking of getting a trans temp sensor to keep an eye on it when trail riding and such. |

As for the transmission temp gauge what would you all recommend? Autometer sells either an electronic 100 to 250, or a mechanical 140 to 280 temperature gauge. |
