Hey guys, 1st post here, have been lurking for a bit reading up on things.
I have an '04 auto with 95k km's on it (58k mi) which I picked up a few months ago (at 92k, don't drive much). I've changed oil, coolant/hoses, thermostat, diffs, xfer case oil, plugs, air filter, brake fluid, p/s fluid since I got the jeep, with some help from this site!
My concern is I've noticed every so often when coming to a slow speed (rolling stop) off throttle then lightly back on, the transmission seems to be in-between gears for a second, the engine revs and I hear a bit of a whirr, before it decides on a gear. This has happened a handful of times, more often when cold but a few times even when fully warmed. No other symptoms or issues, generally everything is shifting smooth and quiet.
I didn't know whether the PO had the trans serviced so I took it to a dealer the other day for servicing. They flushed and filled the tranny but unfortunately didn't change the filter

, apparently they don't do this unless you specifically ask for it to be done, ugh, I was pretty sure I said flush/filter when I made the appointment. Anyhow, I'll change the filter myself once temps warm up a bit. ATF+4 was nice light pink before/after flushing and at the correct level. Shifts seem a touch smoother overall with fresh fluid but I still get this same occasional (once a day or so) hunt for a gear at slow speed, almost like it's in neutral for a second.
Any ideas? "Normal" for this tranny?
Thanks!
