| Post subject: | Warm A/C upon acceleration |
My A/C blows colder than most cars I ride in. Especially on the highway. Unfortunately ONLY when I step on the go pedal even a little the A/C temp warms up about 20-30'F moments later it goes back to cold. It does it in both re-circulation mode and air in mode. It also does it at all the vents. In Panama's EXTREME stop and go 3-10feet traffic my A/C just doesn't have a chance to catch up. I checked the pressures once and they seemed fine and compressor cycled what I thought to be normally. It cooles about 45'F in relation to incoming air. From what I've found on here, Check vacuum and that makes sense with the throttle vacuum relationship but isn't the blend door electrically controlled? Ideas |

it may be a feature - not a bug.. don't know about the KJ but some engines cut off the compressor on acceleration to give extra power. and if that's it - its the computer's programming. other option would be the vent door coming open on acceleration and Panama's heat being enough for you to notice it. |
