Yes. That is very low. I was getting 15 even with giant, heavy 285/75-16 mudders on mine. |

Very true. But that still seems low even for 4WD and Alaska. |

I'm only in Omaha and during the winter doing little ,short trips I still only get 12ish. But come summer on the highway it'll jump right back to 22. I vote it's cold as can be in Alaska and nothing wants to rotate through a cold fluid. |

ATXKJ wrote: in 2007 - you were paying 55 cents a gallon??????? ![]() Until March 2008 the entries were € per Liter. In May 2010 a bunch of the entries were $ per Liter. mymilemarker.com lets you enter the correct data, but when you switch back to a different measure, it doesn't convert it right. The MPG is correct, but not the cost. |

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to improve my fuel economy? |

take the tire off the top... drop weight in the vehicle is you can... put on a free flowing exhaust... sounds stupid but skinnier tires have less friction on road surfaces and are also better in the snow IMO... maybe a fuel additive? the air intake proabbly wont help much so that would be a waste. maybe new spark plugs could help if they havent been replaced recently. ... try the basicas first and see if you get any gains.. if not then resort to other larger causes |

How come you have no record from March to August 2010? You obviously don't drive your Jeep very often. What else are you driving? |

I'll research a new exhaust.. |

FYI - because auto companies have to met Corporate Average Fuel Economy specs - odds are the best mileage will be just like it came of the dealership floor - no lift. no armor, no special bumpers, and paper thin street tires...........really really boring....it would make the Prius look exciting... |

mapco wrote: Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to improve my fuel economy? low acceleration low weight. balanced tires. air pressure of tires free way clean air filter all are the factors of fuel economy. you just need to improve these factors. |
