seafoam or heet?

I used seafoam at 65k, no real difference in power or MPG but it idles smoother I must say.

you put seafoam in your gastank and some vac line or something and it cleans out your engine

Never mind, i used seafoam. It worked great i put it in my oil and gas, there is a huge difference in the idle. Also there was more of a difference in power than when i got cold air intake. :BANANA:

I would deffenatly recomend it.

I got mine at walmart. I put a hole can in my gas and a 4th in my oil.

Seafoam in the oil is not good. I think I may have read that here. From what I've heard, if you really feel the need to add it to your crankcase, it should be added before an oil change and only allowed to idle for a short while. No driving with it still in the crankcase.

seafoam is a great cleaner for all applications. being from wisconsin and having to buy poor quality gas and diesel we used it in all of our equipment from tractors to cars/trucks to our rider lawn mower and ice augers. I definitly recommend it. :2cents:

ok i picked up a bottle of seafoam tonight. question is i how do i use it safely? like putting it in gas tank do i put it in and start it up right away? or?? please explain in detail thanks guys

Heet is a gas line antifreeze mostly I thought. Seafoam is a great product I have used many times. if used proper it can do some nice things to an engine. pour it in the fuel tank is the safest way. some get it in to the intake driectly to clean that by a vacuum hose, usually a brake booster hose on most gas vehicles, However do not try that with a Diesel engine, putting a combustable fluid in the air intake of a diesel will cause a run away engine. it can over speed and damage it, in the fuel tank for diesel.

by putting it in the motor oil it can clean that out and loosen sluge and deposits to be drained away at an oil change. the seafoam web site says its safe to drive with some in all the time but I wouldn't it thins the oil out. I have put 1/4 of the can in my oil the night before my oil change and drove it to work nice and easy then drained it when I got home. that was under 20 miles round trip and I dont feel ok with much more than that.

many ppl run SeaFoam in their oil all the time. personally, i've run it approx 100 miles before an oil change, really cleans it out good. i put in about 1/4 can seafoam per 4 qts of oil. then i usually dump the rest of the seafoam into the gastank. i only do it about once a year or so. never really noticed a huge difference in engine running, but the oil always comes out a little darker than when not used... probably that sludge coming out!

I used it in the crank and it solved my sticky lifter problem. I also pour the recommended amount down the TB and it blew a bunch of smoke but idled a LOT smoother an quieter plus it seemed a bit peppier. But that is also in an engine thats 19 years old and sat for a while. lol

A little bit of an old conversation here but just had a question.

I had used seafoam with my old TJ which involved pouring some in the gas tank and then I put some in a vacuum line.
Is there a similar vacuum line I could plug it into on my 03 liberty?

and just a side note, last time I used it the neighbors started to call the fire department because of all the white smoke. Fantastic.
