Well I have been looking at my wiper blades for awhile and have been wondering if I could use a longer size as I do not like the covereage of the stock length. I had determined that if the mounting fits the stock wiper arms a 21" blade (vs the stock length of 19") should fit w/o any clearance issues. Today I got a set of 21" blades/blade holders (Anco 31-21) an put them on . They fit the same as the shorter ones and no hint of them interfering with one another. Now I get 1" more coverage on both the top and bottom of each blade and they do not go over the edge of the window as a larger blade might.
You might even be able to put a 22" blade over on the passenger side if it does not interfere with the top of the driver-side blade when at resting position. It appears that even at that length (22") the top of the blade will not go off the window glass at the top of the cycle...I have not tried/looked into this yet but I may. On my KJ, putting a 22" blade on the driver side might bump the rubber at the edge of the windshield and lead to shorter blade life.
This simple mod may also work on the KK or other vehicles if your wiper area coverage seems too small.
As I said earlier the part I used was Anco 31-21
In the future I may try to upgrade the rear blade from the 11" stock to a 12" upgrade. Going longer than 12" inches will probably interfere with the blade rest when off or in the minimum position.
