Hello this is my first post and i hope its in the right place but i was teaching my brother (15) how to drive in the snow and had to pull my emergency brake to save my car from a poll and now when i drive i hear a slight tick in the back like a base ball card stuck in the wheel spokes of a bike. It gets louder with speed not rpms so im sure its not the engine but i have no clue what it could be. I drive a 2005 KJ with 58000 miles on it. I really cant afford to take it in so im looking to fix this my self. Im pretty good with my hand so if you need to know more things just tell me what to look for and i will get it done for you. Thanks so much for your help!

2005 have a combination disk/drum brakes in the rear. The brake pedal activates the calipers on disk and the E-brake engages brake pads in the drum.

Is the noise coming from both sides or just one side?

More than likely you snapped one of the hold down pins for the parking brake shoes. Pull off the rear rotors and I am pretty sure thats where you'll find the problem.

Hello. I share a common problem. Whenever I stop, like at a stop sign or light, and accelerate there is a loud clunking and vibrating coming from the rear of the car. Its more so in the middle/drivers side. When I tried to diagnose it here http://www.automd.com/diagnose/ low oil in the rear was a possible problem. Any Ideas, I just don't see how rear end oil could make that vibrating and loud clunking noise? Also I read there that brakes may be binding or sticking. The rear brakes possibly are not releasing.
