Post subject:  noisy rear window....

Hay guys, lately I have noticed that my rear window is gets noisy on bumps like a rubber ratteling noise, and I also noticed that I can not release the glass from the tailgate handle, but it does release from the keyfob. I'm thinking that the two are related. Has anyone else had this problem ? and if so how did you fix it?

Thanks

KJ or KK? I have a KK and every once in a while I get the "Gate" display on my speedo that you get when its open and I am unable to open it either with the key fob or the tailgate. I think it might be an electrical shortage. Either way just take off the back panel and look at it. Its easy to remove and the handle grab might have slipped out of place or something related.

Mine rattles a little...well it is 99% the rear door on my '02. Easiest way to take care of it...turn up the radio :) I know I know, you wisea$$ but...that is what I do for things like that. Well...some things.

I seem to have the same problem as you as far as the window opening with the key-fob, but it will not open from the handle. havent found out y since it opens with the fob still, so it works for me now anyways

On the rattle thing, it seems like what you wrote, your getting the same thing my window will make, but i noticed the only time my does it is when my rear window is frozen to the rear seal, once its thawed no more noise, just my :2cents:

It could be a couple of things.
The rear rubber window seal is compressed/worn out.
Or the plastic bushing that surrounds the actual locking
mechanism has deteriorated.
