So today I had just stopped by my house to drop the dog off and then head off to the store. I got back in the libby and threw it in reverse but it did not give me that defined feel of being in gear. So I pushed it back in to park and back to reverse and it felt just funny like there was no selection there and moved kind of hard. It moved in reverse fine and was obviously in gear. I drove to the store and once I was done I tried reverse again and it was fine. It was fine in all of the other selections as well. Anyone experience a problem like this before? I don't need to be stuck somewhere when my linkage decides to take a crap so I am just wondering if I should be looking at replacing it soon. Thanks.

What year do you have? I've got an 06 CRD / automatic trans. and couple yrs. ago had a similar problem, also getting stuck in park sometimes and had to play with the gear shift, pump the brake etc. to get it out of park. PITA. Finally took to dealership as it was still under extended warranty and was told linkage was "really lose" and had way to much play in it. They fixed it and no problem since but it was to much play worked into the linkage from vibration etc.
