Anyone have that cool b/w photo of the wagoneer on that insane trail in Colorado? It's the one where the road is cut out ot the side of this mountain & the Jeep BARELY fits on it. Tryin to explain it to guys in my group but they don't really get it. TIA |

I don't have the pic but I remember it was on black bear trail before it was widened. It may be in the 09 Ouray thread. |

That's the one! Thanx Yellowcoyote. I thought it was BB pass too but Shuttermonkey informed me it's some other trail in CO. |

That black and white photo is also not a real photo, it was manipulated(not photoshopped mind you) way way back in the day to make the trail appear narrower. Surprised no one knew that. |

That B&W pic monkeyed with or not wow thats looks like a steep drop if one goes over the side. I wouldn't try that. Now as it is much better. |

Surprised no one knew that. Really??? How did anybody ever manipulate a photo before Photoshop??? And in B&W too!!!! Okay, actually I do have a few ideas. I used to print my own pics in B&W. "Photoshopping" was done in the darkroom using techniques like "dodging". I seem to remember that particular picture was used in magazine photo ads. I have a box of old Popular Mechanics from the 50's & 60's in my attic. I bet I can find that ad. |
