Are there anybody driving the 2.4 liter petrolengine over there? In sweden the crd and the 2.4 are the most common, i guess the fuelprice (due to taxes) in sweden is tha cause of small engines and diesel.

We pay about 9 usd for a gallon of gasoline over here, how much does a gallon of 95 oktane gasoline cost in the us?

95 octane! what is it a sports car?

Around here 85 octane runs about $3-3.50 per US gallon.

The higher octane fuel (93 or so) can run up to $4.00 a gallon.

95 Octane wow is that racing fuel? in the Northeast states we mostly see 87 octane as the regular. 89 and 92 or 93 are the mid and premium grades. 87 is amost $4 a gallon now. Diesel today was $4.259/ gallon

NYC is at $4.25 for 87...

There aren't too many 2.4L.
I'm pretty sure they were only in the '02-'04s. (I could be terribly wrong though.)

Ehh  , 95 octane is regular here, we also have 98 octane, but i think 98 won't be sold for more than a couple of month. They are adding bioethanol in the fuel here and i think they are going to raise the amount of bioethanol to 10% and call the fuel E10, today we have 5% bioethanol in all the fuel, except for diesel.

I don't know if you are right or wrong, I have a -05, but it could have left the manufacturer -04

Saddly in Europe the only way to go is CRD or LPG to keep cost down, petrol only if you are doing less then 10K mls a year. A lot of petrol Jeep are converted after a while to LPG ( cost is a 40% cheeper that petrol). I personally I couldn't ( & wouldn't) run Petrol even if road tax might be higher on diesel engined Jeeps. We are very gelous of the US petrol prices here in the UK price is $ 5.22 US gallon and going up 3% each month ( In Jan $ 4.75 US gallon).

Ya well just keep in mind that life is a little bit different over here and that somewhat accounts for the fuel prices.

For example, the state I live in is ~270,000km^2, the UK is ~244,000km^2, whereas my states population density is about 18/km^2, and in the UK its about 255/km^2.

Here 87 octane is around 4.05-4.15, 91 octane is around 4.29-4.45, and 93 octane is 4.50-5.00 or more.

No 4 cylinder gassers that I have seen. I rarely see a crd and I would say that 98% of the kj/kk jeeps I see have the 3.7l.
