ok I think my radiator is leaking. I was told it was a common problem as the tanks are plastic. when I bought the liberty form the lot it was sold as a 2001. I entered jeep liberty production date on a web search and the answer came back as 2001 - present. how come I can only find 2002 - current radiators and search engines for parts don't recognize 2001 liberty. also will a 2002 radiator fit? Thanks

never heard of an '01 KJ. though the radiator should fit all models 02-07....

Yep no such thing as a '01 KJ,yeah they started production in early '01 but sold as model year '02 KJ.Make sure you get the radiator for a '02 KJ if you have the auto trans as you require the trans cooler that is in the passenger side tank. Look at your VIN #,the 10th digit is the model year and I bet $100 your 10th digit in your VIN will be a "2" meaning model year 2002. |

Oh yeah for '07 they completely change the radiator so it will not work in any model but a '07 KJ. |

Thanks all. Looked at reg and it said first sold in 2001 and listed as a 2002. The 10th digit was a 2 on the vin, So confirmed as 2002. Thank Again

If you can try to find an aftermarket rad because some get away from the plastic tank. I know because I have been down that road. |
