Hey group,

I cannot find any Jeep clubs in Oregon (that consider the KJ a real Jeep anyway) I would love to hook up with other KJ owners or any type of Jeep for that matter. Anyone know of any clubs here?

You can start a Washington-Oregon LOST chapter. Be the reigning queen of the NorthWest.

Or just join those guys in LOST NorCal.

Go to the bottom of the main page where all the clubs are. there is a section I think where it says worldwide or what ever. It should answer your questions.
Hope this helps and good luck....

You should get in touch with Tradewindkj on this site...

He's moving up to Portland in a month and is a very active So.Cal Member, you guys might be able to get the north west up and running !

Yea...the northwest seems a little sparse, especially given the cascades run right through us. I live in PDX, but a busy kid, so finding a weekend to find dirt is tough. It would be cool to see something put together in our area.

There is a LOST NW, but we seem to be the most inactive LOST group around. NW was started in WA but the idea was to get groups from WA, OR and Idaho going out and having fun. Join up or start your own OR club, doesn't matter to me. I've been just about living at work for over the past year....50-60 hours a week.

I moved from Portland to Seattle 6 months ago and have had my Liberty for 3+ years. GREAT areas for the KJ! Google Oregon Backcountry Discover Route. It actually starts in southern WA and goes through OR. I've done a few sections and it's gorgeous. Not all that hard core but if someone in the group doesn't have lift it's still doable. Tillamook Offroad park is great too. Be sure and get a permit. I got a $141 ticket :( There are lots of trails and as extreme as you want to get.

If you got something cool together over a weekend I'd love to head down. I was just in Everett last night... I work a lot too, we should expand this conversation in the PNW LOST

I'm in Forest Grove, near the Tillamook State OHV area...

Cool! I am doing some checking into what it takes to start a club. I am also researching wheeling and scrappin spots around the state. After I gather all of the info, I just may start an Oregon club, or get with the leaders of the NW club and see if we can shake things loose. I think if we keep it in a smaller area it would be easier to plan meets and runs. Any info you have on good spots, or other folks who may want to joint would be appreciated. Just make sure the spots are legal....hehe.

The Tillamook State Forest OHV area really is about as good as it gets here in Oregon as far as a rock/mud trail system goes. I should know: I helped ODF develop aspects like the Volunteer Trail Patrol, as well as some of the trails. This time of year, though, it is only about 10-15% open. Most of the trails have watersheds into Coho streams, and running them durning rainy season is verbotten.

I think most of us here in the northwest just spend to much time at work.

At 9-10 hours a day, 5 days a week, just to get the bills paid. By the time I get a day off (rarely 2 days together), I have to spend it doing house work. The wife & child get weekends off, but always have something going on.

The most we have gone wheeling lately (past year) is about once every two or three months. :(

When we do get a weekend off work together, and don't have house work to do,,, we don't have any MONEY to go wheeling.

I just turned 31 two days ago, and it feels like all I get to do is what I need to do, and never what I want to do.

Sorry, just needed to vent a little.

Anyone interested in either helping start or joining an Oregon LOST chapter, please see my post in the World Wide forum.

I have a cool name picked out.....L.O.S.T. OR Liberty Owners Special Team Offroad Recon
What do you all think?
