04' Renny. Driver side front wheel vibrates when turning right, kinda' like driving on aggressive mudders, then stops again when straighten out. Becoming more pronounced with time.

My guess is the wheel bearing assembly is crying to be replaced (120k on original) but curious if symptom could be pointing to something else. Anybody?

On wheel bearings, any experience on brands (Timken, Raybestos, etc.)? Price for part? JC Whitney has for $238 but i read in thread on another site someone found for a little over $110.

TIA

Could even be an axle. Have you checked the boot on that side? Usually they click when needing service, but all cars are different. My old 94 Cherokee had a similar problem when the u-joint on the drivers side started to give out.

To rule anything else out, jack that wheel up and grab it to see if you can move it back and forth or up and down. A weak ball joint or tie rod end will allow some play (minus steering movement, if you muscle it enough).
