Does anyone have a listing or video of the Liberty's instrument cluster needle positions during a self test?

I soldered in the missing MIL and ABS LEDs on my instrument cluster (2005 Liberty Sport CRD). It can use "regular" bulb-type LEDs. The anode (longer leg) goes on the top solder pad, and the cathode (shorter leg) on the bottom pad.

I failed to take position of the instrument needles when I removed them, and now need to put them in their proper position. The easiest way I can think to do so is to install the disassembled cluster (back, circuit board, and template), start the engine, and insert them one at a time. The speedometer would go to zero, fuel to one tick above half (I remember how much fuel there was), temperature to C (put this one on first before the engine warms up) and the tachometer to ~1000 RPM (I have the diesel).

Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I did this with my 3.7 and getting the rpms was the hardest. I called a buddy and asked what his rpms were at running temp. in park. He said it was about 700 so thats what i sent mine to. For the speed i used my GPS at 60. Gas i had to fill up bc i didnt rem. then for the temp i just let it sit over night. So you might want to try the phone a friend opt.

I hope this helps some....?

That brings up an interesting idea. I wonder if it's a good assumption that turning the Jeep to ON and then insert the needles, will everything except the fuel gauge be at the zero point? I may try that first.

... and it worked perfectly! Don't push the needles all the way in until all four are where they should be. About halfway is enough to run the instrument cluster test to verify positioning. Make sure to push them down but leave a small gap at the bottom so they turn freely. The bigger needles were easier to position than the small ones.

Needle calibration positions:
Fuel: E, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, F
Temp: C, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, F
Speedometer: 0, 30, 60, 90, 120
Tachometer: 0, 1000, 3000, 5000

The square LEDs were brighter for me than the bulb ones. I probably could have bought some ultra bright ones, but decided to use what I had on hand. They are dimmer than the stock LEDs but that doesn't bother me.
