I pulled my KJ in the shop to wire a fan control switch at the relay. Shop was closing so I went to pull out. Yeah.... Won't come outta park.

I think the safety interlock is to the brake - probably a loose wire somewhere

I was wiring a switch at the fan relay I was probing the relay socket to determine what is what. When I was looking for which was the trigger, I heard something complain in the ecu area. The shop was closing so I put everything back the way I found it and packed up. Started er up and couldn't get outta park. If the ecu has something to do with the trans lock, that's the only link. All fuses are fine. I have the neg disconnected on the batt mostly to make me feel better hoping it will reset.

I had this issue before. Mechanic said a small plastic tab in the automatic shifter broke off so it would not shift out of park. He put a new one in that he said was remoldeled with a better mechanicsm and I havent had an issue since
