My Jeep is in the shop and when all is said and done it is going to cost me a ton. But it is also going to cause a lot of problems here at home. I can't do the repair work that comes from off roading and I can't afford to keep paying for it to be done. I will make this October in Kentucky. That pretty much will be it. The heat I'm getting at home makes it not worth it.

I won't be doing any wheeling. This was a very hard decision to make because I really enjoy off roading. But peace at home is number one.

Terry

Thats unfortunate. What is getting done thats costing so much? As for the home front I hear ya on that, my wife gives me doo doo for every penny I spend on the jeep and I mean EVERY PENNY.

LOL, yeah I hear ya. Wife says, ANOTHER WEEKEND ON THE JEEP! You love it more than ME! I simply smile and say, Yes it does not talk back :D Luckily she was not armed at the time or I would be a dead man. She is beyond a good shot and I do my best to be on my best behavior...when she is armed. LOL.

What kinds of repairs are you needing? I think all jeeps need constent repair. My Father in Law is always working on his TJ too. He says it comes with the territory and he hardly ever wheels it.

Geez!!! I'm so sorry Fulltimer...
I hope the man I marry someday doesn't fuss about my Jeep obession/purchases/expenses...cause I'll always have Jeep fever...

I would really like to see you up here in good ol' Kentucky for ECS...this will be my first REAL off-road trip. Never wheeled my Jeep hard before, so... :juggle: I'm putting a lot of money back for repairs after ECS...Hopefully there will be some Newbie trails for those not looking to get real serious.
There are trails that go right by the hard-core stuff that the buggies wheel on...One spot called the "Can-Opener" has a trail that goes right above it so you can watch the buggies...

My favorite video of the "Can-Opener"

I can feel for ya Terry, I was just getting into wheeling with the Tahoe. Went to Haspin up here and after that rear window started leaking as I popped the seal loose from the flexing/bouncing. Maybe I can try to hit the ECS this fall, who knows.
Like the old adage says..."If momma's happy, everyone's happy"

Yeah, I'm pretty sure someone going to ECS will let ya ride shotgun with them.

I may ride shotgun with someone for the first day, so I can get some good videos and pics.
Really hope you can make it....

Hang in there Terry
I've found out over the last 40 plus years of owning various forms of motorized transportation they all cost ya money one way or the other.
Plus no matter what your hobby is; i.e. cars, bikes, 4 wheel drives, woodworking, golf, its going to cost ya something to enjoy life.
Some of the women folk don't see it that way but it's life.

Women, for the most part, are hypocrites in this arena. :5SHOTS:
