Post subject:  Air Conditioning stuck in HEAT mode!

I have a May of 2005 CRD Jeep. I just got home from a 400 mile trip to central Florida and back. Absolutely no problems until I got 100 feet from being home. I am not happy that it is broke, yet very happy it waited!

The A/C suddenly went to heat mode! It was very sudden, as if I turned the knob all the way to heat. The compressor is still running, responding to the A/C on-off button. The refrigerant lines under the hood are cold as expected. The Jeep is not running hot. I suspect that whatever the hot to cool knob controls is malfunctioning, but don't know what that is.
Is it a flapper door hidden deep in the dash, or is it a radiator coolent valve? I have seen both types on other cars.
I didn't see any fuses that seemed to correspond with this, but checked the ones that had to do with heat, fan, and A/C.

Any advise, please?

Do a search here on "Blend door"....there have been quite a few questions raised regarding the blend door operation. :)
