I'm looking into it. Mirrors can be had for 100 for pair. pwr heated folding OE.

But what does the factory use for the switch?

Can I add this to my rear window defroster?

Or how would I hook them up....

I have a set to be installed( hopefully this weekend) that I have bought used one by one off of ebay. They should be a direct fit and turn on automaticly when you turn on you rear defroster. I can rechime in after I install them to give you a heads up.

Offroad_RN is correct, as long as your Liberty originally came with power windows then it is already pre-wired for heated mirrors, all you have to do is unbolt and unplug your original mirrors and the bolt on and plug in your new mirrors ;) The heated mirrors work with the rear defroster. I have installed heated mirrors on my 03 Limited and my 04 Sport.

I'm glad to hear that this is easy! I have been tossing this idea around because there was so much ice last winter, I'm not sure that ice was ever really cleared from them. $100 is also a good price! If I can't tackle this myself, has anyone used Angie's List to find a mechanic?

If you got non OEM mirrors you will find they shake and make it difficult to see vehicles behind you. Gonna replace mine tomorrow for just that reason with OEM heated mirrors.

Don't know as I don't have any KJs with auto dim, but I doubt it is as the auto dim gets its power from the auto dim rearview mirror AFAIK.

Good, I got one of the many reproduction mirrors out there which by all means are excellent quality, except that they shake at highway speeds, meaning its difficult to determine what exactly is behind you.
