I need some thoughts on what could be causing my cold engine/cold weather whistle. This whistle only happens when Engine is first driven and ambient temp is below approx 35 degrees.

1. condition only or mostly seems to happen within first 5 minutes of driving
2. light to steady rpm range
3. speeds under 40mph
4. If you give it gas during whistle it changes pitch or goes away.

Mine used to do that also. Solution was for me to move to Florida. Hasn't happened since.

that's an expensive fix, moving to Florida.

it's not even a desirable fix. I'd rather move to mexico.
