Does any one have a video or sound clip of what a fallen rocker arm sounds like? Is it possible for no CEL to be lit? This video sounds just like a rocker arm that has fallen off but i am not for sure can any one verify this video? http://youtu.be/QhRcVBwgX7w Thanks guys just trying to rule out all possible problems before pulling motor.

Well for any of you that were wondering, you will more than likely not have a rocker arm problem with out a CEL lit up and having a misfire code due to 2 valves per cylinder. So its still looking like rod bearing which are serviceable with the motor in the jeep wish me luck and hope thats it.

Actually when my '02 dropped a valve seat and threw a rocker arm no CEL was lit and it didn't show any codes other than a bad injector driver circuit in the PCM. Dealer replaced PCM and it still wouldn't start and run right so they pulled the passenger side valve cover and found a rocker arm laying in there  Following a compression check they determined it had dropped a valve seat so the new motor went back to ATK and they tore it down and confirmed a dropped valve seat and replaced it with anothe newly rebuilt motor. Altogether my '02 has gone thru two motors and is on it's third. I'm just hoping that the third time is the last.....
