I just made a pact with myself. To drive the KJ till her wheels fall off. If someone where to take really pristine care of the KJ. ( while still offroading etc.... ) i.e. being really faithfull with servicing, replacing parts when they need it ( shocks, timing belt, etc.... ). I guess it just boils down to how many miles I can milk her for. I was thinking around 250k. |

When the engine finally kicks, it's time to drop in the Hemi V8 |

Keep on eye on those factory ball joints or replace them with servicable Moogs or that may happen sooner than you would like dano104 wrote: If someone where to take really pristine care of the KJ. May I suggest the full line of Amsoil products to help keep your KJ running well to 250k and beyond? Info for ordering through L.O.S.T. will be available tonight. I am expecting the same life from mine, and I am hoping for at least that many or more miles from it...even w/ the SFA. |

Nowhere close: 19,220 miles in 17 1/2 months (1,098/month) and that includes a trip to Ohio and back (2600 miles). Lowest average per month? |

47,000 and climbing. I have to drive it for my job so it gets A LOT of stop & go abuse & multiple flat tires from various job sites. The SRAs definitely have to go. |

I've got an '04 with nearly 36,000 on it and I've had it since about April of '04. So not too bad at 1,500 miles a month on average but still not as high on the mileage as some of you all. As for service, it's just been regular maintenance and replacement of the lower ball joints. I'm in agreement with everyone else, this KJ's going to be with me for a long time. |

I guess I win as of March 11th. I just turning 103,000 this weekend. 02 limited patriot blue all stock except for power slot rotors and EBC brake pads. I maintain the hell out of it, 3 tranny service, transfer case rear end, etc. This jeep ( first one I've owned) is the best vehicle I have driven so far ( except for my 68 Nova SS) many years ago. |
