Just curious if anyone has had this problem with their KJ. But my back brake lights keep burning out. They last about a week at a time and the module that the lights plug into have turned a dark brown color. I know nothing about electrical stuff and haven't seen any post about this. Dose anyone have any ideas or solutions.

well, mine were doing that and it ended up being that there was a piece of clear plastic in the lens was rattling loose and hitting the bulb and busting them or causing them to rattle and burn out. I ended up just buying new tail lights. It could possibly be the socket the bulb connects into is bad. try swaping that socket fixture with another and see if the same one still burns out. if its this, they can be found on ebay for cheap

There have been a number of taillight units with "bad" internal circuitry, which start out by constantly blowing out bulbs. I went thru a number of light bulbs and sockets before I discovered that the problem was the internal circuitry. Finally, none of the lights would illuminate, and by swapping the unit with the other side, I was able to determine that it was the the unit itself that was the problem. You can pickup a new taillight assy on EBAY quite reasonably.
