Hi there all, I have to change the alternator clutch pulley on my 03 Cherokee 2.8. I need to know if it is left or right hand thread and do I have to stop the internals from spinning or will the impact gun get the job done.
Many thanks
Daniel

Howdy Daniel - Welcome to LOST

Alternator pulley is standard right hand thread - over in 'CRD Love that torque' - there are several threads about it

there is a proper tool to remove it that stops the rotation - but it costs about $80 and can be broken http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=69058

- so most folks use the impact wrench - works reasonable well.
