I'm stuck in Wisconsin on our moving trip to NH. We're at a friends house. Last night our brake lights and blinkers stopped working. Hazards don't work. Previously, the left blinker barely worked. I had to hold it down and every time I pushed down, the brights and/or fog lights would click off.

When I try to do either blinker, the brights turn ON. When I turn the hazards on, nothing happens, I don't hear the relay click. I think its the blinker assembly inside the steering wheel.

Any other thoughts? Does any one have a spare in, near Kenosha WI that I can buy today or tomorrow (7/4/12)?

Did you try the Auto stores? Advance and auto zone are open. I am in Kenosha if you need a hand let me know

Yeah sounds like the multi function switch went out,though it does not have anything to do with the brake lights but I've seen stranger things.The hazard switch also houses the blinker relay and is a dealer item.

I found the blinker assembly and brake pedal switch here in town. Ill put them in and let you know what happens.

Okay, the new blinker switch and brake light switch did not work. Actually nothing much changed. My rear, third light on passenger side and the corresponding front blinker light stay on.

Brake lights do not work. Blinkers do not work. Front head lights come on.

Hazard switch? I turned it on briefly last night while trying to get through lower Chicago (don't ask). It's possible that it blew out or something. Is there a way to test this switch? Fuse?

Had 3 blown fuses. Guess I should have checked those first. Oh well, the blinker assembly needed to be changed anyway.

I think I mucked up the brake light switch though. I thought I had it in, the brake lights still wouldn't come on. When I checked that switch it just fell out. I probably need another one right? I will try that tomorrow morning.

If the brake light switch is connected properly, the brake lights should come on when the switch is removed.

Wish I would have seen this sooner, could have saved you the troubles. Had the exact same thing happen and it was the fuses as well. Glad you got it fixed though and your back to your travels
