I have been having trouble with the #1 setting for the fan on my AC panel not working. Now both #s 2nd 3 won't blow air as well. I can only get it to work on full blast (#4). Has anyone had a similar problem? I just want to know if this might be and easy fix. I can't stand having the hurricane force winds blowing in the KJ. Help!

I had this same problem with my 02 TJ. The AC Switch had to be replaced. Warrantied Thank God.

On the KJ there is a resister block that goes bad, this has happened to several people. It can be found behind the glove box.

Thanks guys, I already took the whole switch appart and the contact points all look to be making contact. I will check out the resistor block.

Are you sure it's just AC. I had a Toyota years ago that did the same thing, turned out to be the blower motor. Cost me about $400 too. Are you still under warranty?

The problem is probably the resistor block behind the glove box. About a 10 dollar part online, part number 5066552AA.

I am currently having the same problem. I talked to the service department at the dealer and the guy said that it's the resistor behind the glove box. He stated that it was common for a Lib. He quoted $19.95 and he had it in stock.

Hey all, thanks for the info. I will fix it asap. Thanks for narrowing the problem. I never even knew about the resistor block. I actually took the whole switch apart and found that all the connection points were making good contact. Thanks again. Will let you know if it fixes the problem.
