I'm considering installing heated seats before winter, as my commute at 7AM is a little chilly most mornings during that season! There is a MOPAR accessory kit for this (part number 82210854AC).
http://www.justforjeeps.com/heatedseats.html is just one of the places I've seen it for sale. Here is a thread about installing this kit in a JK:
http://www.jk-forum.com/jk-write-ups-39/mopar-heated-seat-install-39723/1) Has anyone done this install on a Liberty? How do you like it?
2) The kit includes its own switches, which are a flat membrane type. I'm not so enthused about how they look or about their sketchy reliability I read about on the JK forum. Has anyone connected the aftermarket kit to the factory switches (outside buttons on the button bar with the hazards and hill descent control)? I'm assuming I'd need a new switch bank that includes these buttons, the right wiring, and have the dealership flash the computer to activate them... Maybe a pain and more expensive, but I'd rather get the factory look. Any tips (and part numbers) are much appreciated.
