Post subject:  Pimp My liberty!

Tune in to this thread as Nate and Dave transform a 04 liberty ("Jeepie" as Dave's kids call it) into a trail ready rig. That's right watch them take a used liberty and cash that Dave's wife doesn't know about and in two weeks time make something worthy of "rig of the month" contention (okay I’ve seen most of these and we’re shoot’n for something close LOL).

I'm (Dave) a recent pavement convert and need to name the project for example my last rides were:

2002 WRX - named "Rex"
2004 Evolution VIII - named "Evil-8"
2004 Liberty - ??? cuz "Jeepie ain't staying" LOL

so any suggestion are welcome!

By the way if Dave’s wife asks it’s all Nate’s fault for taking me out in his ride and having a blast (05 Renegade)!

Stay tuned picture to follow!

L8TR,

Dave a.k.a. Glitch-ster

hehehe LOL.

Nah I've tained her well she married a gear head and know's it. That's why her car is in her name (so I can't trade it in on something).

There may be one toy I gotta give up for this latest project a 97 Yamaha FZR 600 (in beautiful shape and all stock after all these year, my two wheeled old skool baby). Sux cuz I just got a new Pirrelli for the rear too....oh well a small price to pay for a offroad toy.

Anyone looking for a crotch rocket? LOL.

my emails are full-O-tracking numbers! yehaw!

the tires showed up last night and my 6 yr. old son was looking at them. He's now convinsed we're building a monster truck LOL. I guess they'd look that much bigger to me if I was that close to the ground....

I had another idea for the name of your Jeep. Kinda goes along the lines of the naming scheme that you established for your street vehicles.

2002 WRX - named "Rex"
2004 Evolution VIII - named "Evil-8"
2004 Liberty KJ - name "Cage"

Kinda harkens back to the origin of the name "Jeep" from the miliitary designation GP.

Or maybe "Unleashed".

If I wasn't so bent on a new R6 I'd go for your 600.

Oh man you got the Kenny Yellow bad boy R6! those are sooooo Sweet!

One of my riding buddies has a R1 aniv. edition coming in (I keep checking to see if it here yet jsut to see it). I myself would have gotten the R6, but to each him own.

re: the FZR ya I just dig the old school flat/round headlight bike. It was a pain finding one that wasn't trashed (mines got 10K on the clock, the yama blue w/ white).

Yeah... It's going to be my 2nd bike. My 1st bike was an F4 that had the same color scheme. I was going to get another F4 until I started reading more on the R6 and just decided that it was THE bike for me. I'm upset at Yamaha over that whole advertising BS (with the redline), but I still love the bike.

It sucks that you might have to lose the 600. Wheeling is great, but I still think there is nothing like a nice ride to the middle of nowhere just because. :D Well hopefully you can find her a good home. The Yama blue is an awesome color.

Isn't that what the Jeep is for, but with air conditioning and a radio?

Eh, A/C is overrated (@ 80+ you can't tell) and I have a couple of mp3 players that provide lots of commercial free music.

But yes... I use the KJ for that also.
