 Post subject: brake pad preference.. ?

ok.. going to change the brake pads on my KJ.. i went to local auto parts store.. advance auto.. they have only 2 diff brands available. i rem lsat time i put brakes on my old car i went with the higher priced ones since i live in the mountains.. i think they were Bendix ones but i cant rem if they were ceramic or metallic.. anyways.. my question for you guys..

what kind do you guys use for your KJ.. ?
how much per axle?
pros and cons of each?


thanks in advance.. if you order online.. where from.. i dont have access to many auto parts stores.. closest one is 20 miles away

I'd definitely go with ceramic in the front. They last a lot longer and make less brake dust.

I usually just go with the NAPA brand.

I know tirerack carries some of the bigger name brands

And they do run cooler than normal brake pads. Dont let people steer you wrong on that. I dont know what rotor is the best, Ive heard the rotors with slots actually hurt performance.

I use either Raybestos or Hawk. I pefer the Hawk's, much less dust and better bite.
