OK, I knew it couldnt last for long -Wally you were right! If all goes as planned (watch this post jinx everything) we should be the owners of a used bright red Grand Cherokee next week. 6cyl and part time 4wd (we've been looking for one that didnt have that quadra full time 4wd stuff)...we should pretty good to go soon.

Keep your fingers crossed - we miss having a Jeep and are sick of trying to keep this Yota running.

Willys is ready to have lots of new metal welded in, we are still in search of a tranny to mate to the Ford 289....but the heat index has been around 100 here lately so paint and welding is just gonna hafta wait!!!

So far this is what we have collected to go on ProjectWillysWagon
-Ford 289
-Dana 44 front and rear out of a a buddy's old Scout
-new brake systems from LightLine of Lousiana
-all new sheet metal for floor pans and rocker panels
-a new paint gun to shoot some orange paint on it
-new tailgate (that was a feat in itself - wont believe how hard to find those are!!)
-a source out of Georgia for all new windows all the way around

Will keep you posted as it progresses...
