Hey all, im asking all the people who own or have owned the daystar lift for the KK/kj what your experiences with it was. Good things, bad things, I need other opinions. Btw I'm well away that I'm going to get ripped a new one by a few select people for even mentioning daystar here lol but like I said I'm only asking opinions. |

I run the Daystar 2 1/2" lift with a clevis lift up front. It gets the job done and I still sit modestly high off the ground. Plan on upgrading though because I want a taller lift and will be going with 32x11.5x15 tires. Just love the looks of the 32x11.5x15 tire. I currently run 31x10.5x15 BFGoodrich All Terrain T/As on steel Cragars. |

Do like a lot of us did buy springs this month next month shocks etc Look at the over all amount it will take to lift A daystar kit is what, about 160 bucks right? so there you could of bought two springs You need longer rear shocks either way you go Front shocks should be changed when you install the Daystar So in reality you're only buying two more springs for a complete lift Ask Ted15 how much difference there is, he swapped to full spring soon after installing a spacer lift |

I believe that musclezmarinara started with a Daystar lift too and is now running OME. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=63889 |

I think I'll just do that then thanks for the idea and info Tom. |

It's deff worth it to do it slowly over time and do it right, than all at once and cheap. In the long run you won't regret it ![]() |

I have wanted a lift since getting my Jeep and seeing members here lifting theirs. I so badly wanted to be one of the cool kids too, but I listened when I was told to do it right the first time. there were times I had the money but other things were more important or I just didn't have time to think about it then but I never totally gave up the idea. I got to a place last winter where I knew lift or not I was going to need new shocks/struts soon so I started putting money back in my savings account for the OME lift with A arms. This week I will have all the parts in hand 3 years after buying the jeep. buying one thing/part/set of parts as you have the money is fine. I looked at that too but in the long run shipping charges were more that way. so I thought it better to get all the cash together and order all at once. I did use the same mind set. I would put money back as if it was for this or that but it was money in my account that I didn't touch until I could meet my goal of getting the lift. I did buy a few things from All J Products like rear bump stops and the rear brake hose bracket but other stuff is comming from Jeepin by Al here in Pennsylvania. Hopefully I will see that good/better things come to those who wait. |

All of the CRD's that had lifts before ~08 ran Daystar fronts OME didn't make springs until then. The Daystar works. and makes the shock performance non-linear. and kills the front springs. so in the end you do it over again to get it right. why not save the money up front and do it right the first time. |
