My battery terminals have started corroding for no apparent reason. The battery is about 5 years old and still very strong, but I never had this problem before, but now they corrode so bad, my auxiliary lights don't work and the terminal is literally encased in a mountain of powdery white/greenish corrosion. What gives? I've read that you can clean them with baking soda and water then put the red goop on there, but some people talk about felt pads(?) and color coded corrosion inhibiting pads, which I'm not familiar with. Will these help? Is there some other outlying condition I need to address? THANK YOU!
